New Zealand produces 10% of the quantity that Australia does and whose reputation lies in 2 main grape varieties - Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Noir, though Chardonnay is the most widely grown. It is the cool climate of New Zealand that lends itself to these sometimes difficult vines to grow.

• Sacred Hill, Marlborough |
Owned and managed by the Mason Family, who have gained many awards since they started. Tony Bish, their winemaker, believes that their success has been their premium fruit that they buy from the Marlborough and East Coast regions of the South Island. A long growing season with cool evenings from the sea breezes gives them optimum ripeness and flavour development.
