• Domaine des Grand Presbyteres – St. Fiacre |
Nelly Marzelleau – not only does she have a great name, but she also owns a fantastic Estate on one of the best sites in the Nantais. She allows the wine to stay in contact with the lees until March after the vintage before bottling. Her Vieilles Vignes is left on the lees for over 1 year, but is still fantastically fresh. An exceptional wine.

• Domaine Henri Bourgeois, Sancerre |
One of the top producers along the Loire, whose wines exhibit the complexity of the terroir of Chauvignol, the next door village to Sancerre, being chalky with a touch of gunflint. The wines of Henri Bourgeois are touched with brilliance, whether it be his “faux” Sancerre (Petit Bourgeois, which misses AC status by a gnat’s whisker), or his more prestigious wines. His quality through the range is exemplary.
